Arcade Fire and The Grammys

Apparently...everyone was supervised this band who most people angrily tumblr'ed about last night in range won.

I was stocked!

I love them.

I think if Katy Perry won album of the year the world might be exploding as I write this other wise.

Here's New York Daily News view where you can also check out the performances.

I agreed with them about the seizure inducing first performance of "Month of May" which was kinda too hard and distorted for the Grammys, I would have much rather heard...."Sprawl II" one of my all time favorites or "Ready to Go" or even the over played "The Suburbs" but something everyone has heard a million times isn't Grammys worthy when your indie.

It was legit but unnecessary to have the to BMX bikers on stage the whole time with helmet cams. I guess watching it from home doesn't give the same affect as what it may have looked like on stage with the projectors displaying the videos as well. But it was cool that one of the riders was the famous Matt Hoffman!! That gives huge cred compared to hiring some dancers to ride around the stage on a BMX bike, it seemed really slippery as well; I swear I saw them tail whip out a few times.

One of my idols Streisand of all people gets to handover the award to, Win and the band, who one of my co-workers claimed he looked like a Neo-Nazi. I said it was just a very post-modern new wave hair cut. Then they surprise Streisand and basically everyone else at the show and go into an anchor of "Ready to Start" Which rocked and Win said, "Thank you, everyone can leave to this song."

So thank god for the underground, and however this band managed this win, I praise them and all their glory and hope they don't become lame or anything overnight.
